Paediatric Chiropractor Sydney
Here at The Back Clinic, we are focused on providing the right care and advice for you and your family. We have a particular interest in caring for children, regardless of their age. That’s because young, growing bodies often need a little help from time to time.
Our team of registered chiropractors often help to improve nervous system health and spinal function in children while addressing a range of health concerns.
Common musculoskeletal symptoms we help with in children may include:
Clinical Best Practice
When it comes to chiropractic for kids, our approach is consistent with current evidence and/or best-practice approaches. This includes consideration of the following points:
- Explaining the clinical basis for treatment inline with current acceptable evidence
- Consultations with children take into account the different anatomical, physiological and psychological differences when compared to the needs of an adult.
- We will communicate with you and keep you informed about the risks and benefits associated with chiropractic care and present alternatives to treatment.
The Chiropractic Board of Australia notes the following:
“Chiropractors receive extensive university education and training, including about caring for children. Parents typically seek chiropractic services for their children for musculoskeletal disorders. In caring for children chiropractors may provide a range of treatment modalities including manipulation, dietary and ergonomic advice, exercise, counselling and other manual therapies such as massage”.
We are happy to work in a multi-practitioner setting and may communicate with your child’s other health practitioners or local GP, as needed.
Now if your child’s symptoms do not warrant chiropractic treatment, we may refer out to other registered health practitioners as required.
